It was while studying arts that she became interested in
artisanal glass work. After training as a scientific glass blower in 2018 and a few months in business, she created Ulysse Sauvage in 2020.
Her work questions the limits and codes of blowing
borosilicate glass, a high quality and very solid glass. It is worked with a blowtorch and used in principle for the manufacture of laboratory equipment.
Today based in a workshop in Paris, she makes everyday objects.
She attaches particular importance to respecting the raw material. She likes the idea of letting the object form itself, with as few physical constraints as possible. Each piece is thus unique, and although the shapes are similar, they each have their own particularities.
She works exclusively with glass from Europe and her
packaging is produced, for the most part, from recycled
materials.
